Editor & Publisher, Columnist:
Thomas Lindaman
On AOL's political areas, Thomas Lindaman, a.k.a. AceofSwrds,
has been the bane of liberalism time and time again, exposing
the illogic and slicing it to shreds with his quick wit and logical
mind. A former liberal, Thomas has recanted on the ideals he once
held so dear and became a conservative in 1993. His web site "The
Bottom Line" underscored his no-nonsense approach to conservatism,
and he brings this same approach to his Common Conservative column,
also called "The Bottom Line." He is a native Iowan
with a Masters degree in Mass Communication among his credentials.
And, yes ladies, he is single!
Founder: Tom Adkins
Known for biting wit, Tom has left people laughing,
crying, angry, but always thinking about the issues. Beneath Tom's
ironic style, lies deep theoretical detail. It is not uncommon
for readers to finish a Tom Adkins piece saying, "This is
what I wanted to say, but I didn't know how to say it." Until
they read it!
Tom has been published in the Philadelphia Inquirer,
the Washington Times, City Paper, Insight,
The Hill, and often picked up via wire services in most
major newspapers. He's also appeared on ABC's "Politically
Incorrect", Fox "New's Beyond the News", "Hannity
& Colmes", CN8's "It's Your Call" and numerous
other shows.
Tom resides in the Philadelphia area, taking on liberals wherever
he finds them.
Columnist: Patrick
J. Shanahan
Born and raised in central Massachusetts, Patrick somehow acquired
a History Degree from Kenyon College, placed it in a dark corner
of a desk drawer, and proceeded to take lifes scenic route:
through the Navy, into the publishing industry, and then sidling
into the wonderful world of Managed Health Care.
Today Patrick serves as a Business Analyst for the largest health
plan in the upper Midwest and, with his lovely wife Karol, is
kept plenty busy experiencing the joys of raising three children,
two stepchildren, a large hairy drooling creature resembling a
dog, three cats, and assorted other critters.
Along with an enduring interest in history and politics, Patrick
enjoys golf, gardening, sports, good beer, and reading, reading,
reading.
Columnist: Vincent Fiore
Vincent Fiore is a freelance political writer and a Conservative
in the tradition of Ronald Reagan. As a proud member of Reagan's
"Citizen Politicians," Vincent believes that Conservatives
today must take the time to teach the ideas they strive to get
across. He believes the intellectual approach with a bit of levity
in debate is always better than the shrillness of the established
Left, and he tries to maintain this style through his commentaries.
Based in New York City and a small business owner, Vincent is
an active member of the RNC, the NRCC, the NRSC, and the Presidential
Task Force. He currently contributes commentary for several web
sites on a weekly basis, including The WashingtonDispatch.com,
OpinionEditorial.com
and American
Daily.com, and has had commentary posted on NewsMax.com and
Zogby.com. Your comments are always welcomed. POLYSCIVIN101@AOL.COM
Columnists: Thomas Clark and Marcie Packard
He is a scholar of history, especially American history, and
the United States Constitution. She is finishing her undergrad
studies before moving onto law school where she will specialize
in Constitutional Law. Together, Thomas and Marcie form the vanguard
of conservative opinion at The
Asylum--a blogging site devoted to advancing the conservative
cause by challenging the liberal lies and deceit spread by the
media, and espoused by the Left in general. Both are expert debaters,
and have beaten many liberals into submission with their collective
wit, and unmatched knowledge. The pair are married, and reside
in Arizona.
